ABS continued its longstanding support of Bari-Ship 2025, reaffirming its role as a leader in maritime innovation and sustainability. Held biennially, Bari-Ship has become a cornerstone event for Japan’s maritime sector—bringing together shipowners, shipbuilders, and equipment manufacturers to discuss industry progress and future challenges.
Leading Dialogue on Decarbonization and Innovation
Under the theme “Advanced Solutions for Your Evolving Fleet,” ABS experts engaged with stakeholders on the industry’s most urgent topics, including alternative fuels, digitalization, carbon capture, and new maritime technologies.
Two flagship ABS seminars drew large crowds of key industry representatives:
-
“Path to Carbon Neutrality: Carbon Value Chain and LCO₂ Transport” by Hirotomo Otsuka, Manager of Japan Business Development
-
“Decarbonization: Emerging Trends and Route-to-Market of New Technologies” by Tim Badalotti, Principal Engineer of Global Sustainability
Each seminar attracted over 40 attendees, underscoring the maritime community’s keen interest in practical, forward-looking solutions to climate and operational challenges.
Deepening Industry Engagement in Japan
ABS values Bari-Ship not only for its global significance but also for the strong connections it nurtures within the Japanese maritime ecosystem. The event provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships with long-standing clients and partners while sharing ABS’s latest technological insights.
Following a successful presence in 2025, ABS looks forward to returning to Bari-Ship in 2027 to continue advancing conversations around sustainability, safety, and smart maritime operations.
