Abu Dhabi Maritime, a division of AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), is pleased to announce the second edition of the prestigious ‘Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards (Marinas Edition)’ for 2024. Following the success of last year’s inaugural awards, marinas from the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye are invited to showcase their excellence and achievements.
Objectives and Categories of the Awards
The Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards aim to recognize and celebrate exceptional marina facilities that maintain high standards across various areas. This year, six new categories have been introduced to highlight the diverse aspects of marina excellence, including Sustainability, Employer Excellence, Health & Safety, Customer Experience, Innovation, and Outstanding Marina.
Timeline and Event Details
Entries for the 2024 Abu Dhabi Maritime Awards will remain open until August 31, 2024. Finalists will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on November 23, 2024, at the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS). This event provides a unique platform for maritime professionals to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry.
Invitation to Participate and Eligibility Criteria
Captain Saif Al Mheiri, CEO of Abu Dhabi Maritime and Acting Chief Sustainability Officer at AD Ports Group, expressed excitement for the 2024 edition, anticipating an even greater number of entries that showcase best practices and elevate industry standards. These awards highlight the ongoing commitment to promoting excellence and recognizing the remarkable contributions of the maritime community.
Evaluation Process and Recognition of Excellence
The awards are open to all licensed marina owners or operators within the MENAT region, regardless of size. Marinas that demonstrate innovation and drive positive change within their respective categories are encouraged to participate. Applicants can submit in one or multiple categories, and those opting for the “Outstanding Marina” award will automatically be considered for all other categories. Each submission will undergo a thorough evaluation by a panel of distinguished industry experts and regulatory bodies, ensuring impartial assessment across all aspects.
