Accelleron and Hyundai Marine Solution Forge Strategic Digital Partnership for Ship Efficiency

Accelleron has entered a strategic cooperation agreement on digital solutions with Hyundai Marine Solution (HMS), the aftermarket and digital division of the HD Hyundai Group. The partnership aims for closer integration and enhanced efficiency across their respective digital platforms.

Integrated Digital Solutions

The agreement focuses on combining the strengths of digital tools from both companies:

HMS Integrated Smart Ship Solution (ISS 2.0) State-of-the-art ship management system that collects real-time data from onboard devices for analysis and optimal navigation services.
HMS OceanWise An AI-based vessel performance model that focuses on emissions analysis and route optimization without requiring dedicated onboard hardware.

 

Scope and Strategy

The collaboration establishes HMS as a strong partner for the delivery of Accelleron’s solutions, particularly to vessels built by HD Hyundai.

  • Expansion of Licenses: Accelleron currently supplies its engine performance solution to around 100 vessels in HMS’s customer pool. Under the new agreement, HMS will issue further licenses for new and existing vessels built by HHI on Accelleron’s behalf, with the number expected to grow to around 500 vessels in the near future.
  • Goal: The partnership seeks to maximize the benefits of both digital platforms, driving operational efficiency and cost improvements for ship owners and operators.
  • Mutual Benefit: Officials from both companies expressed confidence that the strategic cooperation will help customers achieve new levels of efficiency, extending the benefits to both vessels built at HD Hyundai and ships already in operation.
