AD Ports Group Finalizes Noatum Integration

As announced by AD Ports Group, the restructuring involves the integration of Noatum Group, a global logistics provider operating in 32 countries with 16 terminals in Spain. This move strengthens AD Ports Group’s business verticals and supports its international growth strategy.

Key integrations include:

  • Noatum Maritime: Noatum’s Maritime unit has been incorporated into the SAFEEN Group, renamed Noatum Maritime.
  • Noatum Ports: The former Noatum Terminals unit now manages international port operations as Noatum Ports.
  • Noatum Logistics: Integrated with AD Ports Group’s Logistics Cluster since July 2023.

The restructuring has expanded AD Ports Group’s operations to include 33 terminals and activities across more than 50 countries.

Financial and Strategic Growth

AD Ports Group has achieved significant revenue growth, nearly tripling its earnings since 2021 through acquisitions like Noatum (AED 2.65 billion / USD 720 million) and GFS (AED 1.9 billion / USD 510 million). Investments in Egypt, Central Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa have further bolstered its Maritime, Logistics, and Ports Clusters.

Notable achievements include:

  • Entering the top 20 global container port operators (Drewry International).
  • Ranking 40th in the Lloyd’s List Top 100 global list based on other criteria.

Leadership Perspective

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Group CEO and Managing Director of AD Ports Group, highlighted the strategic importance of the Noatum integration. “The successful integration of Noatum’s assets marks a major milestone, positioning AD Ports Group for its next stage of growth,” he said.

The restructuring prioritizes shareholder value by maximizing synergies across geographies and business clusters, fostering both top- and bottom-line growth.

Established in 2006, AD Ports Group serves as a strategic trade and logistics gateway to Abu Dhabi and the UAE. With 75% ownership by ADQ and trading on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, the company is poised for continued global expansion, leveraging its strengthened structure and recent acquisitions to unlock new opportunities in trade and logistics.
