  • The partnership targets asset-light operations in the first phase
  • The deal strengthens Central Asia connectivity and the Middle Corridor

AD Ports Group has signed a shareholder agreement with AVESTO Group to establish a new joint venture focused on logistics and freight forwarding services in Tajikistan. The partnership brings together international logistics expertise and a strong local industrial presence to support growing trade flows in the country.

How the Joint Venture Will Operate

In its initial phase, the joint venture will function as an asset-light freight forwarder. It will have exclusive rights to manage and consolidate freight for AVESTO Group’s subsidiaries, while also offering services to third-party customers. The structure allows flexibility and fast market entry without heavy upfront asset investments.

Ownership and Growth Plan

The joint venture will be majority owned by AD Ports Group with a 51% stake, while AVESTO Group will hold 49%. The partnership has been designed in phases, allowing the business to scale gradually and expand its service offering as volumes and market demand grow.

Strategic Importance

The deal supports AD Ports Group’s wider strategy to expand along the Middle Corridor, strengthening east-west trade links through Central Asia. By gaining access to Tajikistan’s land-based logistics networks, the partnership enhances regional connectivity and positions the group to play a larger role in cross-border trade routes linking Asia and Europe.
