Admore Shipping has placed an order for carbon-capture-ready scrubber systems from Value Maritime for three new tankers, as reported by Ship&Bunker.
Filtree systems
The Filtree systems will be installed in the vessels in early 2024, allowing for the removal of sulfur and particulates from exhaust emissions. The modular design of the system also enables the potential addition of a CO2 capture and storage system in the future. Ardmore emphasizes its commitment to collaborating with partners to address the energy transition and views the Filtree system as a technologically advanced solution that provides both environmental benefits and future-proofing capabilities for their vessels.
