Organized by the NGO Shipbreaking Platform and the European Union Network for the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law (IMPEL), the event brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from Turkish Ministries, the European Commission, DNVGL, and various industry and civil society organizations.

      • Okan Çetinkaya from the Ministry of Labour detailed labour-related regulations.
      • Giray Işıyel from the İzmir Governorship Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization discussed environmental oversight.

    • Çağdaş Güneş from the İzmir Development Agency presented analyses and projections for the sector’s growth.
