Alfa Laval has signed its first contract for the FCM Ammonia fuel supply system, marking a significant step in maritime decarbonization. The system will be installed on seven ammonia dual-fuel LPG/ammonia carriers for Tianjin Southwest Maritime (TSM), reinforcing Alfa Laval’s role as a pioneer in low-carbon fuel solutions.
Ammonia as a Key Low-Carbon Fuel

Details of the FCM Ammonia Installation
The FCM Ammonia system for TSM will be installed at the CSSC Huangpu Wenchong shipyard in China. The project includes:
- Three 25,000 cubic metre LPG/ammonia carriers
- Four 41,000 cubic metres of LPG/ammonia carriers
- The first delivery is scheduled for the end of 2025
