Altera Shuttle Tankers has officially rebranded as Maran Shuttle Tankers following its acquisition by the Angelicoussis Group. This transition marks a significant milestone in the company’s operations, aligning it with one of the world’s leading shipping groups.
Acquisition and Rebranding
In November 2024, Altera Infrastructure sold its entire stake in Altera Shuttle Tankers to Maistros Shiptrade, an affiliate of Angelicoussis Group. As of February 17, 2025, the company has been operating under its new name, Maran Shuttle Tankers.
Fleet Expansion and Future Plans
With this acquisition, Maran Shuttle Tankers joins Angelicoussis Group’s fleet of 144 vessels, with an additional 23 newbuilds, including three shuttle tankers, set to be incorporated. This move enhances the group’s capacity and strengthens its position in the global shipping industry.
