- Strategic Partnership: AM Green and DP World join forces to create a sustainable supply chain for green fuels and chemicals, boosting global decarbonization efforts.
- Export Goals: The collaboration aims to export 1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) each of green ammonia and green methanol.
- Port Infrastructure: Development of port infrastructure across AM Green Net-Zero Industrial Clusters to support global exports.
- Bunkering Facilities: Establishment of green ammonia and methanol bunkering infrastructure in Dubai, India, and Southeast Asia.
AM Green, a player in green hydrogen and ammonia production, has joined forces with DP World, a global logistics powerhouse, to create a sustainable supply chain for green fuels and chemicals, reads an official press release.
The partnership aims to advance global decarbonization efforts by streamlining exports to key markets.
Ambitious Export Goals Under the MOU
In December, AM Green and DP World signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly develop infrastructure supporting the export of green fuels.
The collaboration targets the global export of one million tons per annum (MTPA) of green ammonia and 1 MTPA of green methanol.
Key initiatives under this agreement include:
- Port Development: Establishing port infrastructure across AM Green’s Net-Zero Industrial Clusters to facilitate exports.
- Bunkering Infrastructure: Developing green ammonia and methanol bunkering facilities in Dubai, India, and Southeast Asia.
- Strategic Terminals: Building terminal infrastructure in the European Union, Far East, and UAE to support low-carbon supply chains globally.
Advancing India’s Green Energy Goals
AM Green is spearheading several projects across India, harnessing renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power to produce green ammonia, hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), chemicals, and biofuels.
The company has set an ambitious target of achieving five MTPA production capacity by 2030, contributing significantly to India’s net-zero ambitions.
A major milestone is the final investment decision for a on MTPA green ammonia plant in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, located on India’s eastern coast.
Driving Sustainability Forward
The collaboration between AM Green and DP World marks a significant step toward enabling low-carbon economies worldwide.
As per the press release, with an eye on sustainability, the partnership underscores the importance of innovation and strategic alliances in achieving global decarbonization goals.
