Bunker sales at Panama decreased by about 3% on year in April 2021, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Marítima de Panamá, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).

Pacific Side of Panama

Total bunker sales at Panama was 402,313 metric tonnes (mt) in April, compared to sales of 415,222 mt during the similar period in 2020.

In April 2021, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales 344,208 mt; 249,156 mt of VLSFO, 61,739 mt of RMG 380, 10,058 mt of marine gas oil (MGO), and 23,255 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.

The similar region saw total marine fuel sales of 350,284 mt a year before in April; with VLSFO sales of 282,481 mt, RMG 380 sales of 21,316 mt, MGO sales of 39,972 mt, and 6,515 mt of LSMGO being sold.

Panama’s Atlantic Side

Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded sales of 58,105 mt during April 2021; 43,619 mt of VLSFO, 6,310 mt of RMG 380, 8,176 mt of LSMGO were delivered; MGO recorded no sales.

It saw total sales of 64,938 mt in the similar period a year before; with VLSFO sales of 46,975 mt, RMG 380 sales of 10,016 mt, LSMGO sales of 1,103 mt, and MGO sales of 6,844 mt.
