Equipped with advanced cryogenic fueling technology and safety systems, the skid provides a controlled environment for training in LNG and ammonia transfer operations, emergency response procedures, and regulatory compliance. It replicates real-world bunkering operations, preparing professionals for the growing alternative marine fuels sector.
The facility was inaugurated on February 20, 2025, by Alexander Saverys, CEO of CMB.TECH. Capt. Aalok Sharma, Group Director of Training at Anglo-Eastern, emphasized the company’s commitment to shaping the future of maritime fuel safety and efficiency, stating that the facility will equip maritime personnel with essential knowledge and hands-on experience.
In addition to the bunkering station skid, Anglo-Eastern has expanded its training capabilities with the inauguration of a new ME GI Training facility at the Anglo-Eastern Maritime Training Centre in Mumbai. This facility focuses on Mk 2 ME GI engines, offering demonstrations of engine operations and training in maintenance and safe operation procedures. This development strengthens Anglo-Eastern’s partnership with MAN Energy Solutions through the MAN PrimeServ Academy.
These initiatives underscore Anglo-Eastern’s dedication to supporting the maritime industry’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and enhance operational safety, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, safety, and environmental responsibility.
