Eastern Star, the Yangtze River cruise, capsized late Monday with more than 450 people on board. Still around 370 people are reported missing.
Not satisfied with the official response to the tragedy the relatives of the perished loved ones started marching to the place of tragedy on their own.
Some of them pooled their money to rent a bus in Nanjing, where the Yangtze River cruise began, for the 10-hour drive to Jianli. Many relatives arrived by train.
The relatives are being sustained by the people of Jianli. Few residents drove with yellow ribbons on their cars to show their support by giving free rides. Some distributed water.
This incident marks to be one of the worst ever disaster questioning the Safety standards of Chinese Waterways.
