Argent LNG, LLC has announced its proposal to develop a 25 million-tonnes-per-annum (MTPA) liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminal on a 398-acre site (within a 900-acre lease) at Port Fourchon in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. The project is positioning the region as a strategic American energy export hub.

The terminal’s design features twelve modular liquefaction units, two storage tanks with a combined capacity of 440,000 m³ and two marine berths capable of servicing LNG carriers sized between 125,000 m³ and 260,000 m³. A ~0.93-mile dual 16-inch pipeline will connect the facility to the Kinetica interstate pipeline system.

As part of its stakeholder engagement, Argent LNG has scheduled an open-house event for local community members and land-owners on December 2, 2025 at the Greater Lafourche Port Commission Office in Cut Off, Louisiana, to present technical details and discuss potential impacts.
