Asian Bulk Logistics (ABL), a leading Indonesia-based provider of integrated logistics and infrastructure solutions, has officially acquired Transhipment Services Australia (TSA), making it the sole shareholder.

This strategic move expands ABL’s global footprint and adds significant capacity and expertise to its maritime logistics operations, particularly in Australia’s remote and resource-rich regions.

Expanding Capabilities in Transhipment and Remote Operations

With this acquisition, TSA—known for its specialized transhipment operations and design solutions in challenging environments—will now be integrated into ABL’s global logistics network.

TSA currently handles over six million tonnes of commodities annually through its operations at the Skardon River area in Queensland, utilizing six barges and a floating crane. The company’s experience spans marine and port design, oil and gas logistics, and mining support, positioning it as a valuable addition to ABL’s expanding portfolio.

Strategic Growth and Leadership to Unlock New Potential

The acquisition will also provide TSA with increased access to financial resources and equity, enabling faster growth and investment in infrastructure. ABL President Director Ika Bethari emphasized the importance of combining the two companies’ assets and expertise to enhance operational efficiency and broaden customer reach.

Under the leadership of Bill Bisset, TSA’s new CEO with a strong background in scaling global logistics firms, TSA is poised to unlock new market opportunities and deliver world-class logistics solutions on a larger scale.

The acquisition of Transhipment Services Australia marks a significant milestone in ABL’s global expansion strategy. With enhanced financial backing, proven expertise, and strong leadership, the integration is set to drive operational improvements, expand customer solutions, and solidify ABL’s presence in the Australian logistics sector. This move reinforces ABL’s long-term vision of becoming a global leader in flexible, scalable, and sustainable logistics services.
