Awilco LNG, a Norwegian LNG transportation operator, signed a new three-year time charter deal with a European LNG importer on June 10th, says an article published in Offshore Energy.
Option to extend
The charterer, characterised as a significant European LNG importer by the business, has the option to extend the contract for up to two years.
As a result, the whole time span is five years.
Furthermore, the importer has the option of selecting one of Awilco LNG’s boats.
Customary inspection
The contract will begin in December 2022, pending the nominated vessel’s inspection and vetting acceptance.
During the charter period, the company expects this contract to generate around $26 million in annualised EBITDA.
