Barge Drifted Unmanned Through Brake Port

1751

On April 1, a barge moored at port was unmoored by miscreants and drifted unmanned through the port of Brake.

What happened?

The tanker barge ‘Sero’ was unmoored by miscreants when it was moored in the port of Brake.

The unmanned barge started drifting through the inner port and finally came to rest perpendicular to the gate lock.

Barge secured

The port officials were intimated about the adrift barge and successfully managed to secure the barge. The barge did not cause any accidents but it blocked other vessels from passing through the lock.

Attempts to contact the master of the vessel failed and the barge was moored at the lock before the control was handed over to its captain.
