BBC Chartering has launched a new monthly project along with a heavylift cargo service between the Gulf, India and Australia.
Connecting major port cities
The service is presently operated by the 8,000 dwt M/V BBC Brisbane, which is currently on its way to load in Mumbai, then Port Chennai and finally at Port Kelang. The vessel is scheduled to arrive in Brisbane in the first week of August.
Transporting coaches
BBC has signed an agreement to transport new train coaches via 18 consecutive monthly voyages from Mumbai to Brisbane, being a major participant in implementing the Queensland’s “new generation rolling stock” (NGR) project.
Svend Andersen, CEO of BBC Chartering commented: “We are pleased that BBC Chartering was selected as carrier of choice to serve this seminal project, convincing all stakeholders of the highest service standards in project shipping.”
Exclusive service for Australia
With a fixed monthly eastbound sailings, the company says that this new operation is the only service in the market that offers shippers a frequent break bulk solution to Australia.
This project is backed by BBC Chartering liner service and semi-liner network for any port, or any cargo service and utilizes the full range of multipurpose and heavy lift vessels available for operation from the company.
BBC Chartering is owned by the Briese Schiffahrt Group that provides access to over 150 multipurpose, heavylift and project shipping vessels.
