Last week, MFAME reported a really sad incident where 18 crewmen injured severely following an explosion onboard an Oil tanker. The year 2016 is coming to an end and the celebrations have already started for the upcoming holiday season. We wish seafarers to be extra vigilant and be safe on board.
The very intention of our team taking efforts to publish these news items are to keep the readers like you informed and thus carefully check on the safety of the ship and crew.
To our surprise, we have four incidents within a week, of which, all are involving Box ships. No doubt, there is an extreme pressure on performance required from the root in the container industry – as the freight rates are not good and excess box ship capacity.
