Boxship Loses 4 Containers In Bad Weather

Container ship lost 4 containers overboard in western English Channel, on Feb 16, some 43 nm NNW of Ushant island, France zone, and reported accident to French MRCC, CROSS Corsan, reports Maritime Bulletin.

What happened?

Understood accident was caused by foul weather. The ship had to maneuver to stabilize containers, after the accident.

She resumed sailing to port of destination in the morning Feb 17, she’s en route from Thamesport UK to Nilbao Spain, Bay of Biscay.

2 drifting containers were spotted on Feb 17 north of Ushant, during a surveillance flight.
