As reported by Clean Shipping International, Breeze Ship Design has secured a significant contract from Fujian Mawei to design two multipurpose offshore supply vessels (MPSVs) for US-based shipowner Seacor Marine. This marks the fourth and fifth vessels to utilize Breeze’s Z 4423 MPSV design, continuing a fruitful partnership between the companies.

Specifications and Design Features

The Z 4423 MPSV design reflects a modern approach to offshore operations, featuring an 88-meter hybrid vessel equipped with medium-speed diesel engines and a battery energy storage system. This integration enhances fuel efficiency and reduces operational costs. The vessels, designed for flexibility, will have a deadweight tonnage of 4,650 dwt, a 1,000-square-meter work deck, and accommodations for 60 personnel, ensuring they meet a wide range of operational demands.

Collaboration and Delivery Timeline

Tommy Hivand, Chief Commercial Officer of Breeze Ship Design, highlighted the collaborative efforts with Seacor Marine during the project’s initial phase and the longstanding relationship with Fujian Mawei. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027, underscoring the commitment of all parties to delivering high-quality, timely results.
