Bulk carrier HONWIN collided with tug BINA MARINE 59, towing barge, at around 0030 WIB (UTC +7) Jun 11, in Singapore Strait north of Batam, Indonesia.
Probably, barge was struck by bulk carrier, not tug. Barge loaded with some 4,500 tons of granite was damaged, understood she was towed to shallows to avoid sinking.
Bulk carrier didn’t interrupt her voyage from Singapore to Bahodopi, South East Sulawesi, and sailed away, understood she was allowed to continue sailing.
