One of the world’s largest ship carries goods with the tension of America’s huge trade imbalance with China.
The electoral event of Iowa caucuses and U.S. presidential race, makes for easy fodder for the trade conflict between the US and China. The US imports from China and its exports to China makes a difference of hundreds of billions of dollars. This crucial situation awaits the new president of US to have some ability to strengthen or weaken these ties.
The world’s largest ship weighing up to 240,000 tons runs on a 80,000 horsepower engine, ultimately with the help of buoyancy. This vessel can carry 18000 containers. It stretches for about 68 miles and is pretty longer than the Eiffel tower. It’s the largest ship that has ever docked in the U.S.
The captain of the vessel comments that, It’s cheaper to have a bigger ship that can carry more products and will take less at a lesser expense.
Electronics, toys, clothing, consumer goods made in China are exported to US on this ship. On the other hand the US exports billions of dollars’ worth of things like crops and machinery to China each year.
