Weekly Analysis: Cancelled Sailings Snapshot
From December 16, 2024, to January 19, 2025, 82 out of 722 scheduled sailings on major East-West trade routes have been canceled, representing an 11% cancellation rate.
Transpacific Eastbound routes account for 52% of cancellations, followed by Transatlantic Westbound (33%) and Asia-North Europe/Med (15%).
Carrier-Specific Cancellations
Over the next five weeks, THE Alliance will cancel 17 sailings, while OCEAN Alliance and 2M plan 14 cancellations each.
Non-Alliance services contribute 37 blank sailings during this period, highlighting potential declines in schedule reliability.
