A Panamanian-flagged Capesize bulk carrier has run aground  in the Suez Canal yesterday (25 February) and remains stuck in the same position.  The ship was enroute to Qingdao, China from Suez, Egypt when this incident took place.  Fortunately there were no reports of injuries or pollution reported from the incident.

Suez Canal remains open but there have been some delays to convoys within the canal and upcoming scheduled starting times.  Further traffic delays are expected until the vessel is refloated by Suez Canal Authority tugs, GAC is reported to have said.
