Around early morning, the collision took place near the port of Lianyuanhang in Jiangsu province, east coast off China.
The cargo vessel reportedly sank around 6 a.m. This is the second reported sinking of a North Korean cargo ship since January. The data obtained showed that the vessel listed at maximum draft due to its fully loaded cargo and gradually sank.
Ship not on UN list:
The cargo vessel ship did not appear to be on a United Nations list of sanctioned North Korean vessels.
The Chinese fuel tanker was not damaged in the incident.
