What happened?
Cargo ship HONG YUN 9888 collided with a fishing vessel early in the morning Nov 15 in Yellow sea, some 10 nm southeast of Shidao, Shandong Province, China.
At the time of collision, HONG YUN 9888 was sailing towards Yantai in the northern direction.
Damage reported
Fishing vessel capsized but remained afloat partially submerged. There were 5 people on board.
According to reports, 3 were recovered dead, 1 was rescued but later died, and 1 remains missing.
