On May 01, a container ship’s drifting containers reportedly allided with some docked ships at Shanghai WGQ Container Terminal while mooring. This resulted in loss of nearly 45 containers from onboard the vessel.
Since the containers onboard the cargo ship were not properly secured, the cargo ship started developing a starboard list resulting in containers falling overboard.
The water in and around the terminal is scattered with floating containers.
