What happened?

On February 28, the Second Engineer of a general cargo ship was exposed to boiling water and suffered burns due to an explosion. The explosion is said to have occurred in the engine room of the vessel when it was anchored in Kerch Strait, Black sea.

The Second Engineer who suffered burn injuries was rescued by other crew members and was taken to hospital in Kerch. The ship continued her voyage to Berdyansk Ukraine.
