What happened?
General cargo ship NAM KHANH suffered a blackout in the morning Oct 25 in Binh Dinh Province waters, south central Vietnam, while en route from Quy Nhon to Haiphong. She was loaded with 1,830 tons of flour on board.
Coastal reef damaged?
The ship drifted and hit coastal reefs, breaching her hull and suffering water ingress.
According to a report, the ship was intentionally run aground on the beach to avoid sinking. Crew was reported to be safe.
