Cavotec has signed a contract worth EUR 8.1 million with a major global container carrier to provide fully integrated shore power systems for a series of newbuild container vessels. The agreement includes the supply of cable management reels and weatherproof enclosures, with deliveries expected to commence in the latter half of 2026.

The shore power systems from Cavotec will enable the vessels to seamlessly connect to onshore electrical power while docked, significantly reducing emissions during port stays.
