Lévis, Québec — Chantier Davie Canada Inc. (Davie) announced today a strategic partnership with Construction Dinamo Inc. (Dinamo), the leading construction company in Québec, marking an important step in further developing Davie’s construction strategy to meet better NSS requirements and the opportunity presented through the ICE Pact, reports Davie.

Extent of the Agreement

The partnership includes Dinamo’s construction and supervision work for critical sub-projects in the ambitious shipyard upgrade at Lévis by Davie. Six state-of-the-art buildings, modernized existing structures, significant waterfront enhancements, and advanced technologies will be included in the upgrade process.

“Dinamo’s expertise in construction will play an integral role in realizing our vision for the future of shipbuilding in Québec and Canada,” said James Davies, President & CEO of Davie.

Strategic Partnerships

The second major partnership announced by Davie today is with Dinamo, following its agreement with Pearlson & Pearlson Inc. Both partnerships form the basis of Davie’s new construction strategy, which will transform the Lévis facility into North America’s most advanced shipbuilding centre.

“Dinamo will oversee critical construction elements of this initiative, ensuring rapid and efficient delivery of Canada’s new ship fleet,” Davies added.

Shared Vision for Excellence

Dinamo brings significant expertise to the table, reinforcing Davie’s ambitious plans for modernization. Jean-Yves Morisette, President and Director General of Dinamo, expressed pride in the partnership:

“We are honoured to partner with Davie in this groundbreaking initiative. Our experience and shared dedication to excellence will ensure the success of Davie’s ambitious modernization program.”

Strengthening Quebec’s Shipbuilding Industry

By signing with Dinamo, Davie reaffirms its intention to continue leveraging Quebec’s construction expertise in strengthening Canadian sovereign shipbuilding capabilities. Combined with support from the Québec government as well as strategic international partnerships, Davie is set to join the world’s top ice-capable vessel construction companies.

This modernization effort would fit well into Canada’s NSS and ICE Pact initiatives for strengthening the country’s domestic shipbuilding industry. This makes Davie a top shipbuilding solution provider.
