  • Chevron Marine Lubricants has announced that its Taro Ultra Advanced 40 formulation has been granted LNG Validation status by WinGD, a leading marine power company.
  • This follows the previous ‘gas general use’ approval, solidifying the product’s compatibility with all WinGD gas engines.

Designed to surpass previous low Base Number (BN) formulations, Taro Ultra Advanced 40 offers improved protection for marine engines. Its ability to maintain piston cleanliness at moderate BN and oil ash levels, coupled with robust cylinder lubrication, makes it suitable for engines equipped with exhaust abatement technologies operating on various low and zero-sulfur fuels.

Rigorous Testing and Industry Recognition

The product underwent rigorous testing in collaboration with WinGD, and its performance was validated through a No Objection Letter from MAN Energy Solutions. The LNG Validation status is a testament to the oil’s quality and effectiveness, providing a competitive advantage in the market.

Commitment to Innovation

Chevron Marine Lubricants emphasizes its dedication to developing innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the marine industry. The company aims to deliver world-class reliability and expertise to support customers in navigating industry regulations and technological advancements.
