China Classification Society (CCS) Awards AIP Certificates For New Ship Types

The China Classification Society (CCS) participated in the launch conference of new, independently developed ship types by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited in Pudong, Shanghai. Over 200 representatives from 84 organizations, including shipowners, leasing companies, equipment manufacturers, and classification societies, attended the event.

Awarded Ships and Certifications

  • Honghu 3500TEU Ammonia Dual-Fuel Container Ship:
    This container ship boasts superior energy efficiency, featuring a 10% reduction in daily fuel consumption compared to similar ships. It belongs to the Honghu SWAN series, known for its large capacity and low fuel consumption.
  • Haijing 82000T Methanol Dual-Fuel Bulk Carrier:
    Designed to meet new regulatory requirements, the Haijing bulk carrier offers multiple alternative fuel solutions. It incorporates energy-saving technologies like shaft generators, wind-assisted rotors, and gas layer drag reduction.

This achievement reflects advancements in environmentally friendly ship designs and aligns with global regulatory trends.
