China has made a new breakthrough in hydrogen refuelling and has built more than 250 hydrogen refueling stations, accounting for about 40% of the global number, ranking first in the world in the number of hydrogen refueling stations, reports Echemi.
This is the information disclosed by Liu Yafang, deputy director of the Department of Science and Technology of the National Energy Administration, at the “China International Economic Exchange Centre-United Nations Development Programme Hydrogen Energy Industry Summit Forum” recently.
New breakthrough in hydrogen refueling
She said that in order to cope with climate change, China, like other major economies in the world, attaches great importance to the development of hydrogen energy technology and industry. To date, more than 20 provinces have issued more than 200 hydrogen energy plans and guidelines.
Encouraged by the state and local governments, state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and foreign enterprises have shown great enthusiasm for the development of the hydrogen energy industry, and the hydrogen energy industry in the three major regions of the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area and Bohai Sea Rim has shown a cluster development trend.
