ClassNK has announced a leadership restructuring, effective April 1, 2024, to navigate industry changes in decarbonization and digital innovation, reports Container News.
Hiroaki Sakashita will continue as President and CEO, while Junichiro Iida remains Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP). Hayato Suga has been promoted to SEVP, overseeing corporate strategy and operations.
New Executive Vice Presidents include Dr. Toshiro Arima (Research & Development), Masaki Matsunaga (Plan Approval & Technical Solutions), and Dr. Yoshiya Yamaguchi (Business Assurance).
President Sakashita emphasized ClassNK’s commitment to safety, energy transition, and sustainability. This restructuring strengthens its leadership to support maritime industry advancements.
