For a sustainable future, Mitsubishi Corporation and SK Innovation team up with Amogy to jointly develop clean energy solutions in this strategic collaboration. The goal of this partnership is to transform the way hydrogen is transported and utilized, thus changing Japan and Korea’s energy landscapes.
Innovative Ammonia Technology for a Clean Energy Future
Starting in December 2023, Mitsubishi and the other two companies will conduct a joint study to assess the large-scale implementation of Amogy’s technology. The focus is on cost analysis at various stages of the value chain, and investigation into market expansion opportunities in ammonia and hydrogen supply chains. Also considered are potential joint pilot programs in key strategic regions. Amogy’s new technology is a combination of ammonia cracking and hydrogen fuel-cell power generation. It would use low-carbon fuels very economically, while in principle could be employed as a carrier for Ha to large-scale transportation.
