Affected Cargo Ports
The newly introduced Local Port Charge at Origin (LPC01) will be applicable on all departures from US East Coast ports and US Gulf, to any final destination.
This charge will apply to all the international shipments, thereby distributing a fair share of port operation and services’ costs directly among stakeholders involved.
Local port charge at origin(LPCO1)
For shipments departing from US East Coast and Gulf ports to global destinations, new rates will be:
- $800 per 20-foot container (Dry/Tank)
- $1,000 per 40-foot container (Dry/Tank)
- $1,266 per 45-foot container (Dry/Tank)
Local Port Charge at Destination (LPC51)
