This marks the fifth ship in the Group’s 12-vessel methanol series, supporting its broader decarbonization pathway toward Net Zero by 2050, according to Port News.

Orderbook data shows that CMA CGM MERCURY was officially delivered on August 27, 2025, with the milestone announced by the company in a social media post. The message highlighted the ship’s addition as the fifth vessel in CMA CGM’s 12-ship, dual-fuel methanol program and extended wishes of safe passage to Captain Dmytro Dbrokhotov and his crew.
The vessel sails under the Malta flag and measures approximately 335 meters in length overall, 51 meters in beam, with a deadweight of about 146,000 and a gross tonnage of 128,060. Propulsion is provided by a MAN B&W 7G90ME-C10-LGIM two-stroke engine, designed to operate on both methanol and conventional fuels.
The methanol series was ordered in 2023, with deliveries scheduled through 2026. Earlier ships in the program include CMA CGM IRON and CMA CGM ARGON. CMA CGM, a French shipping and logistics corporation, manages global container shipping and logistics services, while HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, part of the HD Hyundai group, built the vessel at its facilities in South Jeolla Province, South Korea..
