French carrier CGM has signed an agency, husbandry and NOx reporting agreement with GAC Norway for its ships calling at the Port of Oslo. The new agreement came into effect on 9th Feb 2016, when the first “Pengalia”, the feeder vessel was berthed at Sjursoya container terminal to discharge and load cargo.
The Fathom Maritime Intelligence Industry Guide, the Ship operator’s guide for reducing NOx, has been launched and this also contains tools to support ship owners and operators for reducing emissions.
The Manager of Port of Oslo conveys that, signing of this contract with CMA CGM Scandinavia signifies an importance in the policy to establish GAC Norway as the provider of excellent agency and husbandry services in the Oslofjord.
Head of vessel operations at CMA CGM Logistics in Gothenburg, revealed that CMA CGM has enjoyed a long term relationship with GAC for several years, most particularly in Saudi Arabia, wherein the liner agency services were delivered and recently in Dubai, GAC EnvironHull’s eco-friendly hullwiper hull cleaning services were used.
CMA CGM’s ship agency, with a fleet of 470 vessels and 170 lines serving 400 ports has got the potential and ability to fit any crunch in services.
