Kara Sea witnessed the collision of a Chemical tanker with a Cargo ship which happened during an ice convoy escort. Both giants are Russian made and have had some cosmetic damages during the collision hence were termed worthy to set sail further to reach their respective destinations. Fortunately there were no reports of fatal injuries or any water pollution at sea.
The scene at collision reports as follows, the cargo ship was stuck in ice while the chemical tanker was unable to reverse fast enough leading to the collision. Both ships have dents and broken railings which are due to be checked up when the cargo ship reaches Arkhangelsk and the chemical tanker reaches Murmansk.
