10 Million Tons of CO2 emissions reduced

With shipping contributing nearly 3 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions, Corvus Energy’s efforts are critical in addressing one of the largest sources of industrial emissions.

The company has integrated its battery solutions across various vessel types, including ferries, cruise ships, and cargo vessels. These systems, which combine battery power with hybrid or fully electric propulsion, significantly reduce fuel consumption and environmental impact.

The 10 million tons of CO2 reduction is equivalent to removing over 6 million cars from European roads for a year, emphasizing the scale of impact.

Corvus Energy’s advancements in lithium-ion battery technology, along with hydrogen fuel cell solutions from Toyota, enable vessels to decrease their reliance on high-emission fuels like HFO and LNG.

In addition to environmental benefits, the battery systems help shipping companies reduce operational costs, especially as global emissions regulations tighten.
