Designed by the China Shipbuilding Group’s subsidiary 708 Research Institute, the newbuild has an LOA of 110.5 metres, a beam of 17.3 metres, a design draught of approximately 6.4 metres, a depth of 9.3 metres, and a deadweight of 6,300, reports Baird Maritime.
The chemical cargo will be stored in 12 IMO Type II tanks. This arrangement will allow the simultaneous transport of up to 12 different types of chemical cargo.
Total surface resistance
The vessel also boasts energy-saving features such as a highly efficient propeller. These features help reduce the total surface resistance by as much as 3.6 per cent.
Also fitted are intelligent systems including those for energy efficiency management and navigation.
