Over the weekend, the Zhen Hua 23 transport ship anchored near Ruston in Commencement Bay, Washington, attracting attention as it carried two enormous cranes from Shanghai to Washington United Terminals. The cranes, designed for lifting cargo containers onto and off ships, will increase the total number of cranes at the Northwest Seaport Alliance to 22. While two cranes will remain in Washington, the other two will proceed to a port in southern California. Manufactured by ZPMC, these cranes contribute to the bustling skyline of the Port of Tacoma.
