Crude oil tanker Ocean Pegasus has been sold for USD 17 million as part of admiralty action from the Hamburg Commercial bank, reports Manifold Times.

The 2009-built crude oil tanker Ocean Pegasus (IMO 9388778) has been sold on 15 July for USD 17 million (exact: USD 17,055,000) as part of admiralty action from the Hamburg Commercial bank, according to a Government Gazette notice published on Wednesday (21 July).
Monies from the sale have since been paid into the High Court of Singapore on 15 July, informs the Assistant Sheriff of the Supreme Court.
Validity of claims from parties
“All questions affecting priorities or the validity of the claim of any party to the proceeds of sale of the Vessel except as herein provided and affecting the amount of any such claim shall not be determined until after the expiration of 90 days beginning with the day on which the proceeds of sale are paid into Court,” states the notice.
“Any person having a claim against the ship or the proceeds of the sale thereof on which they intend to proceed to judgment should accordingly do so before the expiration of that period.”
The Ocean Pegasus is part of a fleet owned by Xihe Holdings, the 60% holding company for Singapore-based tanker ship owner Xihe Group of Companies.
