Singapore’s Incisive Law, which specialises in shipping and commodities, has entered into an association with insurance-focused UK firm DAC Beachcroft, reads an official release.
Following the establishment of the alliance, DACB will continue to maintain its office in Singapore, which was established in 2011. The office currently has two partners – Summer Montague and Andrew Robinson, who joined last year from RPC and DLA Piper, respectively.
Meanwhile, Incisive Law has bolstered its disputes offering after hiring veteran litigator John Seow as its head of litigation.
Seamless offering to clients
Seow, who joins from Rajah & Tann, has experience in shipping matters, including wet work such as collision and salvage, ship repair and construction, engine-related claims, marine insurance matters and carriage/charterparty disputes. He also has experience in international trade and commodities disputes, including contamination claims, as well as quality and quantity disputes in relation to oil and other commodities.
“Incisive Law perfectly complements our existing offering and gives us an even stronger platform in Singapore,” said Montague in a statement. Added Wai Yue Loh, joint managing director of Incisive: “With the breadth and depth of services we can provide together, this association will enable us to bring further shipping, international trade & commodities, and energy expertise to clients across the globe.”
