- Danelec and NAVTOR Unveil Seamless Digital Logbook Integration.
- Automated Logbook Entries Reduce Manual Errors and Enhance Efficiency.
- Cybersecurity Strengthened with Industry-Leading Certifications.
The combination of the high-frequency data collection system Danelec Collect with the upgraded Digital Logbook solution from NAVTOR will basically establish a seamless connection between real-time onboard data collection and digitally automated record-keeping. This will streamline operations, improve the accuracy of data for the maritime industry, and strengthen compliance, reports Danelec.
Automated entries for Logbooks
NAVTOR’s Digital Logbooks utilize Danelec’s VRS in an automatic filling of logbook entries based on real-time data, avoiding the need for manual input and, as a result, error duplication, ensuring essential records are both accurate and accessible.
Improved Operational Efficiency
Automated changes enhance the precision and availability of logbook information, thereby reducing crew administrative workload and associated problems related to non-compliance.
Secured Data Environment
Danelec’s VRS is IEC 61162-460 Ed.3.0 Type Approval and IACS E27 certified for the highest levels of cybersecurity. This means that the operational data is protected from unauthorized access and manipulation, ensuring integrity both at the time of transmission and storage.
Secure Companion to NAVTOR’s Digital Logbooks
The tamper-proof Digital Logbooks by NAVTOR offer class-approved, shore-to-shore and onshore digital records instantaneously available onboard, of course seamlessly complementary to Danelec’s secure data collection framework.
New Features in 2.4 Update
- Increased Integration Capability: Automatic transfer and alerts with Danelec Collect.
- More User-Friendly Interface: A new homepage will provide anker way of entering easier and quic events. It offers a more humane experience using this on portable and desktop devices.
- Advanced Validation and Alerts: Enhanced compliance tools that minimise potential errors.
Comprehensive Compliance and Sustainability
The solution meets rigorous requirements by IMO, class, and flag states for mandatory records – the Oil Record Book, the Garbage Record Book, and the Ballast Water Log – and supports sustainability through environmental footprint reduction in maritime operations.
