Finnish ship designer Deltamarin has signed a contract with China Merchants Jinling shipyard (Weihai) for the complete design of Stena Line’s three roll-on/roll-off passenger (RoPax) ferries says an article on Deltamarin.
RoPax vessels
Deltamarin has signed design contracts with China Merchants Jinling shipyard (Weihai) for the complete basic and detailed design packages of three RoPax vessels. These are the 10th, 11th, and 12th Stena E-Flexer vessels for two different end clients.
Features
It will be equipped with liquified natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel engines and a battery hybrid solution to minimize emissions. The ship is expected to enter service in eastern Canada between Newfoundland and Nova Scotia in 2024.
