Diana Shipping Inc. Announces Time Charter Contract With SwissMarine

Diana Shipping Inc. announced that it has entered into a time charter contract with SwissMarine Pte Ltd., Singapore for Amphitrite, says a press release published on GlobeNewswire website.

Time charter contract 

Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE: DSX), (the “Company”), a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with SwissMarine Pte Ltd., Singapore, for one of its Post-Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Amphitrite. 

Gross charter rate 

The gross charter rate is US$10,250 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of about thirteen (13) months to maximum fifteen (15) months. The charter commenced on March 21, 2020.

About the vessel and deal revenue

The “Amphitrite” is a 98,697 dwt Post-Panamax dry bulk vessel built in 2012.

This employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$3.84 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
