Diana Shipping Inc., a leading global dry bulk shipping company, has announced two major time charter agreements for its vessels m/v Los Angeles and m/v DSI Aquarius. These new and extended contracts are expected to generate around US$12.55 million in gross revenue. The company continues to strengthen its fleet utilization and revenue visibility with these long-term charter deals.
New Charter Agreement for m/v Los Angeles
The company has signed a time charter contract with MOL Ocean Bulk Pte. Ltd., Singapore, for its Newcastlemax dry bulk vessel, m/v Los Angeles.

The gross charter rate is US$24,000 per day, minus a 5% commission.

The contract duration extends from November 1, 2025, to a period ending between September 10, 2026, and November 1, 2026.

Built in 2012, the Los Angeles has a deadweight of 206,104 tons, and this charter ensures continued employment for the vessel at favorable rates.
This new deal highlights Diana Shipping’s ability to maintain strong relationships with reputable global charterers and secure stable income through strategic time charter arrangements.
Charter Extension for m/v DSI Aquarius
In addition, the company has extended the time charter for its Ultramax dry bulk vessel, m/v DSI Aquarius, with Bunge SA, Geneva.

The agreed gross charter rate is US$14,500 per day, less a 5% commission.

The contract will run from November 8, 2025, to between November 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026.

The DSI Aquarius, built in 2016, has a deadweight of 60,309 tons, contributing to the company’s medium-size segment of vessels.
This extension reflects the continued trust of Bunge SA and the consistent performance of Diana Shipping’s fleet in the dry bulk market.
The combined employment of m/v Los Angeles and m/v DSI Aquarius will bring in an estimated US$12.55 million in revenue, strengthening Diana Shipping’s financial outlook. With a fleet of 36 vessels and plans to add two methanol dual-fuel Kamsarmax ships by 2028, the company is positioning itself for sustainable growth and environmental responsibility.
